2024: Crafting Holiday Magic with Exclusive L'Occitane Gift Sets for North America

As a Senior Marketing Manager and Brand Builder, my mission in 2024 was to ensure that L'Occitane en Provence’s "Le Grand Voyage" holiday theme not only resonated globally but also found its unique expression in North America. Working closely with packaging vendors and our internal creative team, I spearheaded the development of exclusive gift sets tailored for retailers like Sephora, Nordstrom, ULTA, Anthropologie, QVC, TSC, Amazon, and more—all while navigating a particularly tight timeline due to a major warehouse relocation.

A Theme Worth Exploring

L'Occitane’s global holiday theme, "Le Grand Voyage," was inspired by the romance of train travel. Developed by our central Geneva team, it featured rich visuals like vintage stamps, luggage motifs, and wanderlust storytelling. In North America, we elevated this concept, making it uniquely relevant to our market’s retailers and customers.

My Role in Bringing It All Together

  • Design Direction: Collaborated with our internal creative team to adapt "Le Grand Voyage" assets into exclusive, retailer-specific designs.

  • Vendor Management: Coordinated with packaging suppliers to ensure FSC-certified, sustainable, and cost-effective production while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Storytelling in Copy: Briefed copywriters to weave the narrative of travel and discovery into the packaging text, enhancing the unboxing experience.

  • Retailer Customization: Delivered tailored packaging designs for North America’s top retailers, meeting their unique requirements and preferences.

  • Operational Excellence: Managed all steps—from initial invoicing to final delivery—while meeting an accelerated timeline to accommodate the New Jersey warehouse relocation before June 2024.
